Prepare这个词，看似简单，实则用法颇多。在英语中，它既可以作为及物动词，也可以作为不及物动词，而且搭配不同，意义也各不相同。今天，我们就来一起深入剖析一下prepare的各种用法。

及物动词用法：Prepare Sth. 当我们说prepare sth.的时候，意思是“准备某物”。这里的sth.可以是名词，也可以是代词。比如，“Who prepared these building plans?”（这些建筑设计图是谁制作的？）这里的prepared就是及物动词，直接跟了名词plans作为宾语。 不及物动词用法：Prepare for Sth. 另一方面，prepare也可以作为不及物动词使用，这时它后面需要跟上介词for，再接名词或动名词，表示“为某事做准备”。例如，“The defence lawyers asked for another week to prepare their case.”（辩护律师要求再给他们一周准备案件。）这里的prepare就是不及物动词，后面通过for连接了他们的案件（their case）。 Prepare的更多搭配 除了上述两种基本用法外，prepare还有更多丰富的搭配。比如，我们可以说prepare sb. for/to do sth.，意思是“使某人对某事做好准备”；或者说prepare sb. sth.，意思是“为某人准备某物”。同时，也要注意与be prepared的区别，be prepared for表示“为某事做好准备”，而be prepared to do sth.则表示“准备好做某事”，意愿更强烈一些。为了更直观地展示prepare的用法，我给大家准备了一张表格：
